Who we are

Guided Growth Kids Hub (“Guided Growth”, “we”, “us”) is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website and in the course of our services. You can reach us at info@guidedgrowthkids.com or +27 60 581 7125.

What we collect, and why

• Enquiries and consultations. Your name, contact details, your child's first name, age and area, and what you tell us about your child, so that we can arrange a consultation and prepare for it.
• Referrals. The referrer's name, role and contact details, and the information provided about the child and family, so that we can follow up with the family's consent and report back to a referring professional.
• Area registrations and newsletter sign-ups. Your name, contact details and suburb, so that we can tell you when an area opens and send articles you asked for.
• Job applications. Your name, contact details, qualifications, experience, CV and supporting documents, so that we can assess your application. Because our people work with children, successful applicants are also asked to consent to a SAPS police clearance, a Form 29 check against the National Child Protection Register and a National Register for Sex Offenders check. Criminal-record information is special personal information under POPIA and is processed only with your explicit consent, for safeguarding, and stored with restricted access.
• Association membership. Your name, contact details, field and organisation, so that we can consult you and keep you informed.
• Clients. For families in programme, the information needed to deliver, supervise, report on and invoice for services, including assessment findings, session data and progress reports. Health-related information about a child is processed only with the parent or guardian's consent and only to plan and deliver learning support.

How we use it

To respond to you, arrange and deliver services, supervise our facilitators, report progress to you and to professionals you have asked us to report to, run recruitment and safeguarding checks, administer invoicing, and send information you have asked for. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for purposes you would not expect.

Who we share it with

Our facilitators and supervisors, to the extent needed for your child's programme; the professionals you ask us to report to; service providers who host our website, forms and email (our website forms are processed by our hosting provider); and authorities where the law requires it. Anyone who processes information for us is bound to keep it confidential and secure.

Children's information

We collect information about a child only from, or with the consent of, the child's parent or guardian. Notes, photos or short videos of a child are kept only with your consent, solely to document progress and plan sessions, and are never used publicly or for marketing without your separate written consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Security and retention

Information is stored with restricted access, limited to the people who need it. We keep client records for as long as needed to deliver services and to meet tax and record-keeping duties, and we keep recruitment information for unsuccessful applicants only as long as needed to conclude the process, unless you ask us to keep your details for future roles.

Your rights

You may ask what information we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent, by emailing info@guidedgrowthkids.com. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no advertising cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and our hosting provider may keep standard server logs. If we add analytics in future, this notice will say so.

Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. The date below tells you when it last changed.
